Madison- Rose D. Gapinski, age 56, passed away as a result of a tragic auto accident on Saturday, February 27, 2021. She was born in Milwaukee on September 15, 1964, the daughter of Arthur and Dolores Gapinski. Rose attended St. Alexander Elementary School, St. Mary's Academy, and UW Madison where she achieved her Master's Degree in Library of Science. Rose worked at the University where she met her future husband, Al Schueller, aka "LP." Rose and Al had a once-in-a-lifetime love for each other, they were married on September 15, 2012.
Rose loved bicycling, beading, bowling and crossword puzzles. She was a killer at playing Scrabble and Boggle with Al. Animals were drawn to her gentle touch, especially dogs. Rose traveled to Europe, parts of Asia and all over the US. She enjoyed many joyful moments with friends.
Rose had great taste in music and "had moves" on the dance floor, she was a natural! She was super flexible, strong willed, thoughtful, and very generous. She was passionate about researching for the truth and sharing ideals she believed in.
Rose is survived by her husband, Al; sister, Annette; nephews, Alex (Kelsey) and John "Arty" (Elisa); great niece, Charlotte "Charlie"; many cousins; and numerous Schueller family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, aunts and uncles. A Celebration of Rose's life is planned for September 2021, with date and time to be announced.

I will always remember Rose’s sweet nature, her willingness to forgive a slight or offense, her generosity to so many in their time of need. She really saved me once when a women staying with me had to move and I was too busy working to help. Rose took control of the situation and found the person a unit in subsidized housing, Rose took care of everything; she was truly amazing at times. We shared a love of animals and she spoiled my dog whenever she came over, to the point that if a car like Rose’s parked near our house, the dog would start crying for Rose. I could go on for quite awhile with Rose stories and I feel such a loss at the thought of not being able to speak to her again. I don’t think I will meet another like her. Farewell my lovely, crazy friend. Lisa Waller
