Known affectionately as Dodie, born to the late Clarence and Ruth Warwick on November 11, 1928, she grew up in Green Bay, where the family were long standing members of the East Side Moravian Church. Her younger sister Carol Jacobson (Warwick) preceded her in death.
Dorothy graduated from Green Bay East High School, where she lettered as a clarinet player and was an "A" student.
