William Norman Yager

Sun Prairie – William “Bill” Yager, age 85, passed away on March 22, 2025. He was born on September 25, 1939, in Dodgeville, Wi., the son of Severnus and Helen (Wiest) Yager. He graduated from Highland High School in 1957. Bill worked at Oscar Mayer for 35 years. He married Louella Johnson on July 1, 1961. Bill served his country in the United States Army. Bill was a farmer in Sun Prairie and Waterloo. He was a great dancer of Polka which he loved to do. Bill loved his family dearly! He loved his tractor pulls & stock car races.

Bill is survived by his children: Dan (Lynette), Debbie (Mike) Don (Lori Beth), Doug, Lori Tews, Ken (Stacey), and Kristi (Rob) Miller; 8 grandchildren: Patrick Saunders, Michael Saunders, Emily Yager, Jacob Yager, Zachary Yager, and Tyler Tews; 2 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Doris Ast and brother, Ted(Deloris)Yager.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Leo (Donna), Louis, George, and Tom; sisters: Darlene (George) Thompson, Mary (Vernon) Forseth, Grace (Don) Hasburgh, Joan (Tom) Adams, Rita (Jim) Skala; 2 grandchildren David Saunders and Alex Yager.
