Terry L. "Ma Ma T" Tully

Madison - Terry L. "Ma Ma T" Tully, age 68, passed away on January 7, 2016 at University Hospital, after a long year of battling pancreatic cancer. For those that knew Terry, she was a fighter and gave it one hell of a fight. All the long days, at the hospital from sun up to sun down, she always had a smile on her face and she made all those around her smile and happy! People started to know us by our first names (not sure if that's good or bad). Even though her days were extremely long and painful, not one day passed that she wasn't optimistic. She would say, "We're beating the cancer one day at a time!" At the very end of her fight she stated, "She wanted to return home to her husband (Skip) and her father (Roger). " Terry was born and raised catholic on May 13, 1947 in Kenosha, the daughter of Roger and Eleanor (Cecchine) Cullen. She attended St. Joe's Catholic School in Kenosha. Terry loved children and running the preschools. She truly found what she was good at, children. Terry was a woman who was the most patient, understanding, loving mother to all kinds. She did not have to try, it came naturally.
She loved all her co-workers she worked with, they were like family to her. Terry was a hippie at heart, who loved politics. She had a face where people she just met would tell her their life story, she always knew what to say to make them feel better. Towards the end of her fight with cancer, she was asked, "If you could re-do something or change something, what would it be?" Her response was, "Nothing, I had a wonderful life with no regrets!" Terry had a heart of gold and she was a strong woman that would face any fear head on. She never would hurt a soul and will be dearly missed by so many but never forgotten! We all have a great angel on our shoulders and her deceased husband, Skip would have wanted it no other way, that he return home before her and we found peace that she is back in her one and only's loving arms.
Terry is survived by her two daughters; Elizabeth M. (Greg) Hoyer and Christina M. Tully, six grandchildren; Jacob, Emily, Conner, Haley, Anthony, and Isabella, her mother; Eleanor Cullen, sister; Barbara (Nate) Schwartz, nieces; Michelle and Jerri, lifetime family; Diane, Sparks, and Gene Bennet.
A time to gather will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Fitchburg Community Center, 5510 Lacy Road, Fitchburg, WI 53711 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. To help celebrate Terry's life please come wearing aqua or blue, to celebrate her life not her passing. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses. Please come to pay your respects to the family, of the wonderful life lived by Terry and be prepared to share a story or two!
