Teresa Ann Jansen

MADISON - Teresa Ann Jansen, age 66, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, in Madison.

She was born on Nov. 5, 1946, in Stoughton, as Teresa Johnson, the daughter of Elwood and Ellen (Steinhauer) Johnson. She enjoyed many years in the customer service industry, working as a waitress as well as a kitchen manager of a Madison Area Elementary school. She also took pleasure in gardening, decorating and spending time with her family and loved ones. Her door was always open. She was known for her dedication, loving nature, free spirit and big heart. Teresa was a true lover of life.

Teresa is survived by two daughters, Katie Jansen and Molly Jansen; her mother, Ellen Johnson; and her sister, Barbara Jacobson. She will be missed by many, including her special friend, Gary Swalheim.

She was preceded in death by her father, Elwood Johnson; and brother, Ronald Johnson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2013, from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 6021 University Ave., Madison. There will be a visitation from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. A Celebration of her Life will follow from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Smoky's Club, 3005 University Ave., Madison, WI 53705.
