Tammy L. Hoveland, 12/19/1958 - 6/15/2015
After a courageous battle with cancer, our beautiful Tammy's journey here on earth has come to an end. In the evening of Monday, June 15th, Tammy drew her final breath and passed away at Agrace HospiceCare center. Tammy was born on December 19th 1958 in Madison, WI, to Duane J. Hoveland and Marilynn J. Mickelson. Tammy was one of a kind. She had a beauty that radiated from deep within her soul and shined upon everyone that she met. She had a great sense of humor and could bring joy to any situation (even in her final days). She dedicated her life to caring for others both in her home life as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and in her work as a CNA for Agrace HospiceCare and previously as a caregiver for the disabled. Tammy's passion for helping others led her on a mission to become a massage therapist as well as a Reiki master. Tammy attended the East-West Healing Arts Institute of Madison where she received her certification in massage therapy.
Tammy was passionate about naturopathic medicine and organic living. She loved and shared her knowledge and expertise of the healing benefits of pure essential oils; blessing us with them, as well as her loving care.
Her compassionate heart, free spirit and down to earth energy will be greatly missed.
Although she is no longer here with us physically, Tammy lives on: in her children, in her grandchildren, and in the hearts of all those who loved her. Tammy is survived by family and friends that loved her very deeply including: her daughter, Autumn Fletcher, son, Curt Fletcher, daughter-in-law, Heather Fletcher, her grandchildren, Peyton Marquez(his father Rene Marquez), Kendall Arnaud, Hayli Fletcher, and Wesley Fletcher, her mother Marilynn Mickelson, sister, Tera Soltis, brother-in-law, Butch Soltis, nephews, Tom, Chad and Brian Kavanaugh, great nieces and nephews, and many friends and coworkers that loved and adored Tammy and referred to her as a "Rockstar CNA".
A Celebration of Tammy's life will be held on July 11, 2015 from 2pm-6pm at Doubleday's, 4586 Baxter Rd., Cottage Grove, WI. All those that loved and cared for Tammy are welcome to join us in honoring her.
"The Lord saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be,
So He put his arms around you
And whispered,
'Come with me'
With tearful eyes we watched you suffer
And saw you fade away.
Although we loved you dearly
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating
Your beautiful smile at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove
He always takes the best.
It's lonesome here without you
We miss you so each day.
Our lives just aren't the same,
Ever since you went away.
When days are sad and lonely
And everything goes wrong
We hear you gently whisper,
'Cheer up and carry on.'
Each time we see your picture,
You seem to smile and say,
'Don't cry, I'm in God's keeping,
We'll meet again someday."
