Sue A. Richardson, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease, one day short of her 88th birthday.
She was born on November 4, 1925 in Madison, Wisconsin the daughter of Henry and Agatha (Aggie Bergen) Beyler. Sue married E. James (Jim) Richardson on August 18, 1945. Jim preceded her in death on February 9, 2006. Sue and Jim were lifelong Madison area residents and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2005.
Sue will be remembered for her contagious laughter, her sense of humor and generosity. She was a talented artist and enjoyed drawing and creating jewelry.
She graduated from Madison West High School in 1944, was a member of the Orchard Ridge Community Club, a founding member of Ridgewood Pool and a member of the Chameleon Club.
Sue loved her family above all else and was a friend and mentor to all of her children and grandchildren. She was always available to them and attended their countless athletic and scholastic activities. Her love of family has been passed on to each of them.
Sue is survived by her seven children, Pamela (Bud Siebecker) Richardson of Spring Green, Susan (Charles) Lanius of Madison, Ronald (Mary) Richardson of Middleton, Laura (Richard) Roberts of Verona, Marcia (Rick Lanius) Richardson of New Glarus, Hank (Kathy) Richardson of Verona, Dave (Patti) Richardson of Verona; 16 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a special niece, Tanna Warren of Madison, and many other nieces, nephews and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jim, her brother, Ronald "Puck" Beyler and her sister, Marilyn (Mar) Warren.

A celebration of Sue's life will be held on Monday, November 18, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Dok's Klassik Tavern (formerly the Cozy Inn), 410 W. Verona Ave., Verona, WI.
The family would like to thank the staff at Badger Prairie Health Care Center in Verona, Olbrich Gardens Unit, where she has resided since July 28, 2011, and the Walking Iron Unit, where she spent her last few days. They would also like to thank the staff and volunteers at Agrace HospiceCare.
