Steven Winspur

Steven Winspur died at home in Madison on Monday, April 20th, aged 59. He was born in Kilmarnock, Scotland.

He earned his PhD at Columbia University (New York City), and taught French literature at North Carolina State University, Columbia University, and UW-Madison. He loved playing golf and watching Formula One auto racing. He had a deep affection for dogs.

He is survived by his brother Ian (of London, UK), his wife Patty, and sons Skye (Madison) and Luke (Minneapolis).

A memorial service will take place on May 15 at 3:00 pm at Olbrich Gardens. Instead of flowers, Steven would like a donation to your local humane society.
