Sandra Kay Skare

Oregon - Sandra K. Skare, age 53, passed away with family by her side after a 18 month battle with cancer on December 30, 2014 at Agrace HospiceCare. Sandy was born on June 9, 1961 to Bob and Joann (Laper) Skare. She was baptized and confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rio. Sandy graduated from Rio High School with special friends in the class of 1979. Her love of animals was unmatched, especially for her dogs, Bella and Callie.

She is survived by parents; her brother, Jay (Michele) of Poynette; three nephews, Casey, Corey and Craig Skare; aunts, uncles and cousins. Sandy also leaves behind many dear friends of all ages, including former co-workers at Sycom, The Rentschler Company and Varco-Pruden.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and nephew, Cody.

A memorial service will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5701 Raymond Rd., Madison, on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Timothy Nybroten officiating. A visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Memorials may be made in Sandy's name to the Dane County Humane Society or Church or charity of your choice.

Sandy's family extends its heartfelt appreciation to the doctors, nurses and countless others who helped Sandy.
