MARSHALL--Rodger A. Edgren, age 74, of Marshall, Wis., passed away Friday, March 2, 2018, at St. Mary's Medical Center, Madison, Wis. He was born in Berlin, Wis., on Jan. 1, 1944, to George Sr. and Martha (Zechel) Edgren. Rodger was a steamfitter for Madison local 394 for 30 years. Prior to this he worked for Edgren-Brothers construction and served two years with the U.S. Army being discharged with honor and awarded the Good Conduct Medal. He married Patricia Gustafson, May 29, 1970, in Madison. Rodger is best known for his sarcastic humor, his love for Harley's and casinos, his hard-working ethics, and his love for his family.
He is survived by wife, Patricia Edgren, Marshall, Wis.; children, Kimberly (Scott) French, Bath, Maine, Jenny (Kris) Crubaugh, Madison, Wis., and Emily (Jim Weithaus) Edgren, Waterford, Wis.; four grandchildren, Peyton, Parker, Aria and Eiden; one great-grandchild, Gianna; brother, Gerald (Nancy) Edgren, Plainfield, Wis.; sisters, Joan (Bill) Kalrath, Fall River, Wis., Betty Ann (Phil) Ingwell, Sun Prairie, Wis., and Nancy (John) Hillard, Madison, Wis.; sisters-in-law, Joan Edgren, Oregon, Wis., Irene Edgren, Wild Rose, Wis., and Judy (Mike) Jennings, Mount Horeb, Wis.; he is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Rodger was preceded in death by his parents, George Sr. and Martha; sisters, Virginia and Marjorie Edgren, and Loretta Lentz-Engel; brothers, Albert Edgren, Robert Edgren, and George Edgren Jr.; sister-in-law, Dixie Edgren; brothers-in-law, Dick Lentz and Ed Engel; and nephews, Ritche Lentz, Mike Lentz, Phillip Edgren, Jacob Edgren, and Pauly Hughes.
