Fort Atkinson--Robert James Bord, age 37, passed away from a heart attack at his home on Friday, December 27, 2013. Rob was born in Beaver Dam on January 12, 1976. He was raised in Beaver Dam and Muskego and was a Muskego High School graduate. Rob had lived in Fort Atkinson for the past 5 years. He thoroughly enjoyed his career as a police sergeant for the City of Eagle police department. Unfortunately, his career was cut short when he was honorably retired due to an injury sustained while restraining a suspect. Rob was a certified firearms instructor, was certified in ten other disciplines and was a D.A.R.E. officer. He enjoyed spending time at his trailer in Northern WI and with his family. His greatest joy, however, was the special bond he shared with his mother.
Rob is survived by his mother Patti (Dean) Martin of Fort Atkinson, his brother Toby (Ali) Bord of Oak Creek, nieces Christina and Caitlin Bord, step-sister Carrie (Bret) Walsh and their children Colin, Dylan and Harper of Palmyra, step-brother Aaron of Greendale, special friend, Jenni and her children Simera and Caleb of Fort Atkinson, other relatives and friends.
Your great sense of humor and smile will be missed by all whose lives you touched. AWTWB
