Madison, Wisconsin-Robert A. Knippel (Bob), age 61 passed away Thursday, Sept 26, 2013.
He was born on July 7, 1952 in Madison, to Josena and Glenn Knippel. He was the oldest of three children: Jan Schultz (sister) and John Knippel (brother). In 1970, Bob graduated from James Madison Memorial High School where he was an active member of DECA.
Bob was skilled in many things. He spent a lot of time working as a landscaper for The Bruce Company and later became employed by Fitzgerald's in Middleton before his retirement.
Roberts' hobbies included: motorcycle and gun collecting, playing cards, computer IT and biking. He enjoyed spending time with his family, taking trips to Vegas, riding motorcycles, reading, target shooting, listening to music, and yo-yoing.
His nieces and nephews gave him the nick name "Uncle Tbok" meaning the book of knowledge. He was full of so much knowledge and wisdom. He was always willing to help and spread his knowledge to everyone. He was a wonderful brother and uncle, and a good friend to many. He is survived by his brother, John; sister, Jan (Tom); nieces, Kelly and Kristin; nephews, Eric and Nick; great nephew, Riley; his cat Luther, an aunt, uncle and cousin. He will be missed dearly.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother and his father who since have guided him home.
The family is gathering together privately for a celebration of his life.
