Richard J. Clavey, 60, of Coldspring, Whitewater passed away on November 22, 2014 at the Rainbow Hospice Facility- Johnson Creek. Richard was born in Evanston, IL, on July 31 1954. He was the fourth son of Gilbert Clavey and Virginia (Pals, Clavey, Landers) Hebron.
Richard was a world class mechanic, a hunter, and a Mr. Fix-It to all, who loved helping others with all sorts of engine work. He was an avid collector of eagles and enjoyed yard work. For the last nineteen years, Richard's greatest specialty was caring for his dogs, Homer and Miss Daisy Lou! He enjoyed taking them for walks, and rides in his vehicle; he always managed to make a 70 lb dog into a 140 lb dog.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl E. Clavey (nèe Stork); stepson Clint W. Stork of Fort Atkinson; daughter Charlene (Jason) Kyle, and four grandchildren; Kelsie, Cody, Hailey, and Jessie, all of Waterloo; brothers, David, of Sturm and Raymond (Jodie), of Cambria; his one and only special niece Marcie Smith, of Fort Atkinson; two nephews, Dale Clavey, of Fort Atkinson, and Ken, of Markesan; and many aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Donald, and sister-in-law Mary. Richard will be missed by all family, friends, and loved ones.
Richard's final wishes were be cremated, and set aside until he can be laid to rest with his four-legged, golden-haired kids. No funeral services will be held. He is now riding on that big brown and white eagle's wing, soaring though that big blue sky.
