Rhonda G. Benson

Rhonda Grace (McKillip) Benson, age 71, of Madison, WI, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2024. Rhonda was born in Darlington, WI on November 2, 1952, to Harold and Beverly (Kammerud) McKillip.

Rhonda retired from Wisconsin Public Radio and in recent years she crocheted beautiful blankets and other keepsakes for family, friends and for donation. She also loved cooking and rarely passed up a shop that might have undiscovered cooking gadgets.

Rhonda is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Richard; daughters, Melissa (Erik) Loiselle and Katie Benson; brother, Greg (Kathy) McKillip; sister, Pam Crapp; grandchildren, Sophie, Shane, John, Cassidy and Griffin; nephews, Jeffrey and Jason (Kim) Crapp; nieces, Rebecca (Matt) Ächey and Jennifer (Mike) Wohlwend; cousins, Steve (Becky) McKillip, Randy (Leslie) McKillip, Laurie Hannan (Ron Witte), Dennis (Jim Bailey) McKillip and Kay Schulte; sister-in-law, Sally Grossen; and numerous cousins and extended family and cherished friends. Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents and her in-laws, Maurice and Margaret Benson.
