Peter J. Schultz

Sun Prairie- Peter J. Schultz, age 90, formerly of Beaver Dam, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at The Lighthouse in Sun Prairie. He was born on October 12, 1924, in Milwaukee, to Peter and Ona (nèe Wagoner) Schultz. Ona later married Lester Leischer. Pete was previously married to Marian Gandt, with whom he had two children, Loren and Patti. He has spent the past 31 years with his loving partner, LaRaine Chapman. He worked many places over the years, including Mercury Outboard Motor Plant, Wilke Chicken Hatchery, Wisconsin Agriculture Insurance, and as a maintenance worker at Colonial View Apartments, in addition to doing carpentry and masonry work. Pete also proudly served in the Air Force as a radio operator and mechanic.

Pete is survived by his partner, LaRaine Chapman; son Loren (Mary) Schultz; daughter Patti (Bruce) Morgart; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; half-sister Lesona Tait of Rolla, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father ; brother Andrew Schultz; sister Ila Mae Higgins; and half-brothers Wayne Leischer and Wesley Leischer.

The family extends special thanks to neighbors and friends of Pete and LaRaine, who generously provided transportation, yard work, and support.

A Remembrance Gathering for Pete Schultz will be held on Sunday December 28, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sun Prairie VFW, 349 S. Walker Way, Sun Prairie, Wisconsin 53590.
