Patricia Marie Moran, age 84 of Madison, Wisconsin passed away on February 26, 2016 at Artisan Assisted Living of Middleton.
She was born on February 1, 1932 in Dodgeville. The daughter of Melvin and Nellie Coffey originally from Blanchardville, later moving to Madison in 1935.
Patty lived in the historic Old Bush neighborhood of Madison. She had many friends and enjoyed her brothers, sisters and many nieces and nephews.
She dedicated her entire career to the City of Madison at the City County Building.
Patty was proud of her Irish heritage. She loved to garden, cook, sew and shop. She loved to take walks and spoil her dogs, Fritzy, Tyrone and Zoey. But best of all, her quick sense of humor and smile lit up the room. Above all else was her deep commitment to the Lord. Her dedication to her Catholic faith was the foundation of her life. Everyday she would volunteer her services to the Catholic community. Not a day would go by that she was not at mass or helping in some way. She is finally at home with the Lord that she lived for.
She is survived by her brother Col. William Moran (Ret) of Kentucky and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Nellie Moran, her siblings Ray, Rusty, Connie (Falci) and Cassie (Vitale).
Thank you to the excellent care given to her by the staff at Artisans Assisted Living and Agrace Hospice of Madison.
Services will be held at a later date.
