Patricia Carol Guilfoyle

MONONA - Patricia Carol Guilfoyle died Sunday, March 27, 2016 at home in Monona after a long illness. Pat was born on December 12, 1931 in Jenkins, Kentucky to W.P. "Pete" and Clara Tomtengen Mink.
She was a graduate of Jenkins High School, the Louisville General Hospital School of Nursing and the University of Maine.
Pat worked as a nurse in Kentucky and spent five years as an officer and a nurse in the U.S. Air Force stationed at hospitals in Japan and Texas. She worked at Rolling Hills Rehabilitation Center in Sparta for twenty years. She retired in 1995 as the Assistant Director of Nurses.
Pat is survived by her children, Sheila Guilfoyle of Madison, Elizabeth Guilfoyle (Rick Bartz) of Madison, Sean Guilfoyle (Marianne) of Muscoda, Patricia Unseth (Scott) of Eagle River; her stepbrother Wendell "Butch" Boggs of Jenkins, KY; grandchildren Benjamin Bartz, Thomas Bartz, Megan Unseth, Zachary Unseth , Erin Unseth and Erin's children Hunter and Cameron.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Gwendolyn Harrell, brother Franklin Mink, stepmother Beulah Boggs Mink, and stepsisters Emogene Anderson and Leah Jane Haynes.
Pat's family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Monona and Agrace Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to her.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 16th at 10:00 am at St. Dennis Catholic Church, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison, WI.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 4th at 11:00 am at the Country Coon Prairie Church Cemetery, S2706 Coon Prairie Road, Westby, WI. A lunch will be served immediately following the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Madison Public Library Foundation, Pinney Branch Capital Campaign 201 West Mifflin St., Madison, WI 53703.
