Michael T. Mulvihill, 68, passed away peacefully on July 28th at Agrace Hospice after a long battle with prostate cancer. Mike was born in Tucson, Arizona on January 8th, 1947 as the baby of six kids to Thomas and Isabelle Mulvihill. He moved between Arizona and Chicago before settling in Madison. Mike had a unique variety of careers starting at age 17 with a stint in the army. Later he served in the Air National Guard for nearly two decades. He also worked at Oscar Mayer and H&R Block, and ran his own pier business. Mike could always be found cheering on the Packers, Notre Dame and the White Sox (even placing an occasional bet on the outcome of a game). But he was most passionate when cheering on one of his children's sporting events, which he never missed.
Mike and his late wife Corie Nelson are survived by two children, Kyle and Marra Mulvihill. He is also survived by a brother (Dennis), a sister (Coletta), a large extended family, and good friends. A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, August 2nd at Goodland Park from 4 to 7pm, with a sharing of memories at 5pm. His laugh and love were infectious and will be dearly missed.
