Marion Pauline Anna Blaschka

Marion Anna Pauline Blaschka died at Sylvan Crossings (Dimensions Living) Assisted Living, Fitchburg, on Thursday, February 20, 2025, under the care of Agrace Hospice and special friend, Diane Schultz, at age 101.

Marion was born 05 July 1923 in the Town of Stettin, Marathon County, WI, daughter of Richard and Anna Maria (Koenig) Zunker. She was baptized on 22 July 1923 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Town of Stettin and confirmed in her faith there on 21 March 1937. On 31 Jan 1942, Marion married Harold Zimmermann at Trinity Lutheran Church, Town of Stettin. They had 4 children. Harold died in 1954. On 01 Aug 1964 Marion married Gerald Blaschka at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. Gerald died in 1983.

Marion is survived by daughter, Diane Vollrath (Madison), son, Richard (Darlene) Zimmermann (Madison), and daughter, Irene Wiese (McFarland), step-daughter, Rita (Tony) Manso de Sousa (Madeira, Portugal), sister, Janice Rinderle (Milwaukee), and half-brother, Raynard (Julaine) Zunker (Weston). She is survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews & great nieces and nephews. Marion was also predeceased by brother, Harvey, sister, Lorraine Moore and son, Allen Zimmermann.

A celebration of life will be held at Lutheran Church of the Living Christ, 110 N. Gammon Road, Madison, WI, 53717, at a future date which will be posted here. A private family inurnment will be held at Restlawn Cemetery in Wausau at a date and time yet to be determined. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lutheran Church of the Living Christ.
