MADISON - Lydia Frances Barletta, age 93, passed away on December 25, 2016 morning at Nazareth Nursing Home in Stoughton. She was born on April 22, 1923 in Aliquippa, PA to Angelo and Francesca (Montini) Barletta. She was the youngest of four children, Sebastian, Mary and Angelina.
She loved to cook and was an avid reader. She worked as a waitress in Pennsylvania for many years until she retired in 1963.
Throughout her life, Lydia focused on her family and helping others. She will always be remembered for her love of God, her compassion and her generous heart.
She is survived by her daughter, Mia Bianca-Burdett (Ed) of Madison; her granddaughter, Tara Cacovas of Madison; her grandsons, Jermaine (Angela) Little of Brown Deer, WI and Eddie Burdett of Madison; and great grandchildren Jacob and Madelyn Little of Brown Deer, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Angelo and Francesca Barletta, Sebastian Barletta, Mary Antonelli and Angelina Gunn.
A private service will be held on January 11, 2017 at Roselawn Memorial Park.
