FRANKLIN, LUCILLE
MADISON-Mrs. Lucille Pickett Franklin was born on Oct. 27, 1917, in Tuscaloosa, Ala. to Katie Brown Bennett and Jackson Pickett. She was educated in the public school system in Tuscaloosa and was later married to Vick Franklin. To this union was born one daughter and one son.

Mrs. Franklin lived a good Christian life and was a member of the Church of Christ (West) in Detroit, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Katie Brown Bennett; father, Jackson Pickett; sister, Rosie Pryor; brothers, George and Willie Bennett; husband, Vick Franklin; and son, Robert Grant Franklin.

She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Bettye (E. Howard) Grigsby of Madison; one grandson, Eric (Karenn) Franklin of Mckinney, Texas; two granddaughters, Kandra McGee and husband of Birmingham, Ala and Tamara Grigsby of Madison; one sister, Lucy Smith of St. Louis, Mo; one niece, Katie Richards of Goodyear, Ariz; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Private family services will be held.
