Lorrin "Lon" Schepp

Lorrin E. (Lonnie) Schepp, age 74 of Madison, WI, passed away on February 12, 2014, at Agrace Hospice Care in Madison.

Lonnie was born on June 8, 1939 in Middleton, WI. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles A. Schepp and Mabel A. (Brandenburg) Schepp, his brother, Duane M. Schepp and most recently (May 2013) his oldest brother Charles L. Schepp.

Lonnie worked many years for the Bricklayers local union. He worked as a tile setter before retiring. He enjoyed projects doing construction and he spent many hours re-modeling his home and making furniture. He loved reading and read thousands of books over the years, staying up late into the night reading. He enjoyed the outdoors, loved trout fishing and deer hunting with his family and friends. He loved his wife and told her that daily during their 54 year marriage. They both enjoyed their many poodles that were a big part of their life over the years. Ashley and Katie Scarlett will miss him.

He is survived by his wife, Vernice (Magnesen) Schepp, his son, Leslie Schepp (Michelle), daughters; Vickie Dahlk (Ron), Venee Gardner (Roger), granddaughters; Taylor Moore (Dustin), Kristine Juarez Bautista (Gabriel), grandsons; Alex Gardner and Zachary Gardner and great grandson Franklin Schepp Cashindio. Lonnie is also survived by several nieces and nephews that were an important part of his life.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Agrace Hospice for the care the last few months and the comfort and peace given during his last days.
