June Kay Feely, nee Johnson, age 67 (or 29 as she'd say), passed away peacefully at her home in Cross Plains, WI on September 29th, 2017, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 5th, 1950 in Neillsville, WI to Lloyd and Dolores Johnson. She graduated from Neillsville High School in 1968 and graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1972. She was previously married to Steve Siebert. She married James Feely in 1990. June & Jim were avid travelers and lovers of life. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, reading, and bicycling. Her creativity and enthusiasm had no limits. June was a tireless advocate for truth, justice and equality. She was a student as well as a teacher, touching the lives of so many. June is predeceased by her father, Lloyd, her in laws, James & Marilynne Feely and her sister in law, Jeffrie Lynne Feely. She is survived by her husband James, her mother, Dolores Johnson, Neillsville, WI; her children, Jacyn Siebert of Capitola, CA; Samuel Siebert (Kristin) of Auburn, WA; Whitney Siebert, Cross Plains, WI; James Feely IV of Grand Marais, MN, and two grandchildren, Makaya Wagabaza and Ophelia Siebert. She is also survived by her brother Lloyd Johnson (Kim), Roscoe, IL; her sister, Susan Backaus (Richard) Neillsville, WI; brother in law John Feely (Linda) of St. Charles, MO; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 16th at 2:00pm at Olbrich Botanical Gardens, 3330 Atwood Avenue, Madison, Wisconsin 53704. Visitation will be at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cross Plains Public Library which was dear to June's heart.
