Joan C Nimmer

MADISON - Joan C. Nimmer, born March 28, 1939 left this life Saturday, August 15, 2015 to be reunited with her husband, and love of her life, Richard A. Nimmer. Also preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mabel Schneider. Loving mother and friend of Susan (Scott) Inzeo and Robert (Lynn) Nimmer. Proud grandma of Scotty (Paula) Inzeo, Sarah (Corey) Hagedorn, Stephanie (fiancé Jon Clemins) Nimmer and Rachel Nimmer. Proud great grandma of Addison and Ethan Hagedorn. Niece of Gladys Klug. She will be further missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many cherished lifelong friends.
Joans' first love was her family and baking was her way of showing that love. There was never a birthday that was celebrated without her children's favorite cake or dessert - even if it meant mailing it. Everyone, friend or family, was always welcomed into her home with an offer of a special treat.
Flowers were Joan's passion and her home was testimony to that passion - surrounded by beautiful gardens filed with all the flowers she loved. Her yard was a rainbow of colors and scents and she enjoyed spending hours tending to them and caring for them, much like she did her family.
Joan had a wonderful talent for sewing beautiful items to be given as gifts to those she loved. She would spend hours sewing little extra items for Christmas gifts, beautiful quilts for a baby or special wedding - each loving stitch - a special memory to be cherished.
Her family will miss her loving support and guidance, the wonderful times up north, the fun of "finding a bargain" rummaging on the weekends, and all the evenings playing cards around the kitchen table - we hope you are walking among heaven's gardens hand-in-hand with Dad.
