MADISON - James A. Jankowski, age 64, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 12, 2014. He was born on May 28, 1949, in Woodstock, Ill. James served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. James worked at a gravel pit and drove for LCL Transit. James loved farming and collected old farm tractors, semi trucks and trailers. He loved to travel. James was a loving husband and father of a blended family and devoted grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Charla; son, James Anthony Jr. of Casa Grande, Ariz.; daughter, Jennifer Jankowski of Harvard, Ill.; sons, Kevin of Delavan, and Jon of Madison; stepchildren, Travis Boley of Madison, Nicholas Boley of DeForest, and Denise (Edgar) Alonzo of Sun Prairie; grandchildren, Megan, Samantha, Quinnlan, Chase, Elekiel, Hailey, Sania, Olyvia, Aliyah, Samuel, Jasmine and Gianna; and brothers, Fred and Dennis. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter and mother, Mae; and stepson, Anthony Boley.
A private viewing will be held on Monday, May 19, 2014, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Informed Choice Funeral Services, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison. Cremation will follow.
