Georgia Ann Drexler, Age 70, of Madison, passed away peacefully at her home on January 8, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born June 17, 1942, to George and Vera Kulesh, Paddock Lake, WI. She graduated from Salem Central High School in 1960. Georgia was married to Rudy Drexler on Oct 1, 1966 in Paddock Lake. They moved to Madison, where they shared 17 years of marriage.
Georgia worked for Cuna Mutual Group for several years of her career, and finished her working years at Dean, where she retired in 2006. She loved spending time gardening, attending meat raffles, and picking her numbers. She thought the world of her dog Lilli, who provided much companionship over the years. Georgia was one of a kind and if you met her, you never forgot her. She seemed to know someone, every place she went. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Georgia is survived by her two children, Dawn (Rob) Hilber of Sun Prairie, DeAnna (John) Mabis of Belleville; her grandchildren; Bryce, Grace, Nathan, and Amber (Peter) Mironchenko.
A visitation and memorial service will be held at Agrace HospiceCare, 5935 E. Cheryl Pkwy, Fitchburg, on Friday, January 11th, 2:30pm. A celebration of Georgia's life will follow at Benvenuto's Italian Grill, 2949 Triverton Pike, Fitchburg, 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare, Fitchburg, or the Humane Society.
A special thank you to all the friends and neighbors of Georgia, who showed so much care in her last year of life. And special thanks to the staff of Agrace HospiceCare.
