Frederick Thomas Theel

Frederick (Fred) Thomas Theel Sr. age 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday Dec. 1st, 2024. He was born to Christian and Lillian Theel on Dec. 13th, 1942, in St. John's, Newfoundland, he was the oldest of 4 children. He graduated from Central High School in Madison. He was united in marriage to Judith Marks on Dec. 21st, 1963. They were married for 55 years. Fred worked his entire career in retail, starting as a shoe salesman for Stassi's and many years at Gimbels. He retired in 2006 from the Boston Store. He loved working with people. He enjoyed playing softball and won a city championship. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and his beloved golf. He had a great sense of humor which, came in handy raising 4 children. He will truly be missed by many.

He is survived by his daughter Lisa (Tom Stanek) son's Fred Jr (Debbie), Ray (Kristi) and Rickey (Rick Davis).

Grandchildren Tyler and C.J. Theel, Miranda (Drew) Collicott, Crystal Bough and Corey Grieshammer. 6 great Grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Siblings Gordon (Dianne) Theel and Christine (Mark) Hubscher.

He was preceded in death by his wife Judy, brother Robert, brothers in law's Sam and Todd Marks and sister-in-law Connie Marlow.

A celebration of life will be held Friday Dec. 13th at Informed Choice Funeral Home,  3325 E. Washington Ave. Madison.  A gathering will take place from 1-3pm With a short service at 2:30.

Memorials can be made to the family or Agrace Hospice.
