Frances, age 80, passed away peacefully at home at The Rivers in Portage, WI on March 30th, 2022, with her daughter attending.
Frances was born to Bernard and Nina Mae (Adams) Hall in Deer Lodge, TN on November 20, 1941, and lived there happily until meeting her husband Donald Boster. They were married at Pleasant Green Church of the Nazarene in Deer Lodge, TN on September 21, 1963. They raised their children in the Joliet, IL area and upon retirement moved to the Portage, WI area. The saying, "You can take the girl out of the country but you can't take the country out of the girl," never rang truer!
Frances was a strong, caring, and compassionate woman who touched the lives of all who met her. She had a warm smile, good sense of humor, and a story for anyone who would listen. Many of which were centered around her family and upbringing. She was always quick to offer assistance in any way she could and often met others' needs anonymously - out of love, not looking for reward or recognition. Fran was an avid reader and was seldom seen without a book within reach. She loved singing hymns, working puzzle books, viewing the wildlife out her window but mostly she loved the company of her family and friends. She proudly wore the titles of sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Donald, Sr.; her sons, Donald (Steve) Jr, David Allen, and Jesse Eugene; as well as her brother, Roland Claude Hall; and many more dear loved ones too numerous to name.
She is survived by her sisters, Marilyn Hurst, Freda Williams, Helen (Leland) Hamilton, Hazel (Tommy) England, and Lillie Aytes; daughters, Kimberly (Duanne) Walton, Tammy Boster, Debra Boster, Susan (Chris) Leadingham, and Valerie (Maurice) Tradewell; grandsons, Jonathan (Karlee) Boster and Jeremiah Boster; granddaughters, Heather Boster and Michelle (Gary) Cottrell; great-grandchildren, Cory Jay Boster, Sasha Cottrell and Trinity Cottrell; her beloved fur baby, Bandit and many other furry, scaly, prickly grandcritters. She is further survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 30th, 2022, at Twin Valley Free Will Baptist Church, 4036 Twin Valley Road in Middleton, WI 53562. Visitation will begin at 9am until noon with a brief service to immediately follow. A time of remembrance, fellowship, food and refreshment will be held in the church basement following the service.
We humbly ask that in lieu of flowers, please support your local church or favorite charity in her honor so her love can continue to reach and support others.
