Forrest Allan Bock

June 15, 1938 — September 7, 2018

Forrest A Bock, 80, of Wisconsin Dells passed away September 7th, 2018 at home with partner Mary Melton by his side. Forrest and Mary shared 21 years together. He was born June 15th, 1938 in Chicago, Il. He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Elsie Bock and the mother of his sons, Joanne Bock. He spent quality time in the weeks before his death with his sons, brothers and family members. He is survived by his sons Allan and Michael, brothers Walter (Charlotte) and Roger (Nancy), grandchildren Michael, Daniel, Amy, Jordan and Dylan, great grandson Jacob, nieces and a nephew.
He was a graduate of Proviso East High School in Maywood and worked from post high school until his retirement at Sears Roebuck and Company. He retired at age 54 as an Art Director for the Sears Catalog.
He lived in Lyons for almost 40 years, until building his dream retirement home/horse property in Wisconsin. He had a great love for his family. He loved working on his cars and watching his boys play baseball in Little League. Although we think the latter might have been for the $1 hot dogs. He had a passion for thrift stores and loved a good bargain. He loved rodeos and auto racing. Forrest always had a great sense of humor, told amazing stories and would often make the people around him laugh.
What brought Forrest the most happiness was being around his horses. He and Mary shared their passion for horses and traveled to many places to ride and horse camp. They also enjoyed driving the horses on many trails with the cart.
A private burial was held at Union Ridge Cemetery in Chicago, IL.
