Shelby --Esther A. (Seymour) Kennedy, longtime Shelby resident, went peacefully to be with her Lord on December 12, 2013. Esther was born on May 23, 1944 to George and Alice Seymour of Dunkirk, MT.
She attended Shelby High School and was married to Jerry David Kennedy on July 28, 1960. Esther lived a life of service to others in all that she did. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. She touched the lives of many people and her kindness and compassion will be greatly missed.
Esther is survived by her husband of 53 years; her sons David (Debbie) of Cut Bank; Daniel (Tristy) of Cottage Grove, MN; and Gregory (Teri) of Madison, WI. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Jeremiah, Lela, Lee, Sydnie, Kaelie, Tristen, Victoria, and Alexis. She was blessed to have two wonderful great-grandchildren, Kaydance and Kolbie. In addition, she is survived by her brothers Norman, Jim, and Steve Seymour; sisters Margie Dalton, Caroline Lovins, and Nina Waller; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers John and Tom Seymour.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday December 21, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Shelby. A reception will immediately follow the service.
