STOUGHTON - Edith A. (Bolender) Maly Leikness, age 88, passed away on April 26, 2017. She was born in Mazomanie on Sept. 13, 1928, to William and Alta (Orcutt) Bolender. Edith was a homemaker for her entire life.
Edith is survived by her children, Bonny (Richard Ringhand) Maly, Gary Maly, Susan Maly, and David (Carla) Maly of Nebraska; two sisters, LuEllen Bieri and Doris Vlasak of Georgia; nine grandchildren, Rene (Greg) Banthournout, Todd Erickson, Tina Erickson, Sherry (John) Vick, Donald, Casey, and Jennifer Maly, of Arizona, Ronnie (Robin) Swangstu and Peggy Swangstu; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter, Athena Erickson; and daughter-in-law, Barbara Maly of South Carolina.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clayton Leikness; sons, Kenny and Larry Maly; brother, George Bolender; granddaughter, Tracy Erickson; and son-in-law, Gene Erickson.
The family wishes to extend a thank you to the staff at Skaalen Home for their love and care of Edith and also to Rev. David Handt for his Wednesday visits with her.
Private burial services will be held at a later date at the Mazomanie Cemetery with Rev. Handt presiding.
