Duane R. Bobholz

Duane R Bobholz, Mount Horeb, age 70, passed away on February 26, 2014 at Agrace Hospice, Fitchburg. He was born on June 19, 1943 in Friesland, WI to Harry and Alma (Lauer) Bobholz, He worked for Hermans' Little Ponderosa, Benson's Swim World, Caldwell Farms/Peavey Grain and Evco.
Duane married Jean Wild in 1971 in Town of York, WI. They were married for 23 years. He married Marilyn White in 1997. They were married for 2 years.
He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Arlington, Wisconsin. He enjoyed watching car racing, tractor pulls, listening to polka music, watching old classic TV shows and being with his grandchildren. He was known as "Tractor Man" during his CB radio days.
Duane was preceded in death by his parents, wives Jeanie and Marilyn, brother in law Curtis Beneditz, nephew Richard Radl, mother-in-law Alta White Klein.
Duane is survived by his sons Jerome (Lesli), Michael (Karen), Roger and stepdaughters Laura Paukstat, Shirley (Jeremy) Parks and stepson Roger Slater; his sister Carolyn Beneditz, brother Marty (Sandy), sister Nancy (John) Radl and brother David (Janet); his grandchildren Christie (Gene Dubay) Bobholz, Amanda (Jordan) Barth, Jessica (Ryan Abel) Bobholz, Victoria, Dylan, Christopher and Shelby; his step grandchildren June and James Paukstat, Margretta Belter, and Anthony Parks; his great-grandchildren Makayla, Skylar and Rylee; his step grandchildren Kayla and Blake Jesberger and his nieces and nephews and other relatives. Special thanks to brother-in-law Don "Bro" and sister-in-law Dorothy Jean "DJ" White for their continued support and care, Meriter Hospital and Agrace Hospice for their extraordinary care and support during this brief difficult journey.
A memorial service will be held at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, W6906 County Road K, Arlington, Wisconsin at 12:30 pm March 8, 2014. Visitation from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm will be held prior to service. The family will be greeting friends and relatives at this time and with luncheon held after service. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
