MADISON - Diane (Davidson) Hammill, age 55, born on April 11, 1960, passed away on Oct. 17, 2016, at home in Madison, Wis.
After graduating from Memorial High School in 1978, Diane went to work in the hotel industry, where she met many celebrities, including meeting lead singer Steve Perry from the band Journey in the Sheraton Hotel elevator in Madison. She also worked for Kromrey Middle School in Middleton, Wis., as a food helper. Diane always had interesting stories to tell and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and games that challenge the mind. Her recent stroke did not hold her back from anything that she could do, most recently working as an aid for Tom and Sylvia Roberts, assisting as a caregiver for many years up until her death.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and JoAnn Davidson, and sister, Darcy Davidson in 2008. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Hammill; daughter, Ayla Hammill; sister, Dawn Davidson; brother, Andrew Davidson; and many cousins and one niece.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at BETHEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 312 Wisconsin Ave., in Madison, Wis., at 3 p.m. Burial services will be with Informed Choice Funeral Home.
