Carolyn Ann Mary Jacob, née Butler, married fifty one plus years to the love of her life, Henry Jacob. An extremely loving and mostly patient mother of Timothy Jacob and his partner Crystal, Maureen Beaver and her husband Stephen, William Jacob and his wife Janet, Barbara Jacob and Sandra Mattil Jacob.
Extra proud grandmother of Tim, Daniel, Kelsey, and Noah Jacob, Stephen Beaver, Nathan, Avery and Tyrell Lindsey, and Anastasia Jacob-Hall.
Wonderfully sweet and sassy big sister of Geraldine Horne, Willie Butler and Catherine Theodorakatos.
A kind Aunt to nephews Barry Horne Jr, Kevin Horne and niece Melissa Lehmann.
A lover of most things Irish (especially celebrating St Patrick's Day), chocolate, and shopping, and shopping for chocolate, soap operas, reading (James Patterson was her favorite), creepy movies, chotchkies, and crosses and taking pictures (even though she could never figure out how to get them off the digital camera), laughing loud and often, talking to just about anyone about nearly everything and anything. Loved her Lord & Savior and all her Church friends which she considered part of her family.
Singer of the sweetest Irish lullaby you ever did hear, snappy dancer, bling-wearer, troublemaker, fantastic hug giver, never met a human (or furry creature) she didn't absolutely love.
A fiery, feisty, red-headed, mischievous, little Irish firecracker. She peacefully closed her eyes for the final time in this world surrounded by family and opened them anew, whole again, in a brighter, more beautiful one to be with family and friends who have preceded her there. She will be missed so very much by so many, but per her wishes, she will also be celebrated heartily with Irish music and dancing and laughter (and also tears), with joyful remembrances as well as recollections of hard times (just so we really appreciate the joyful ones).
Those who knew her well, and those that only knew her in passing, please take a moment, or many moments, to play a little Irish music, dance a jig, tap your feet, raise a glass, say a prayer, and just celebrate the life of such a dear and blessed woman - she will be right there celebrating along with you.
