Arthur Lee Dodd

Arthur L. Dodd, age 70, died on May 27, 2019 surrounded by family at Avalon Assisted Living in Madison, WI. He was formerly of Hales Corners and West Allis, WI.

Born on May 18,1949 at Long Island, NY to Wilbur A. and Josephine Lamoureux Dodd, Art was the eldest of 5 siblings. He was a graduate of Whitnall High School, where in 1964 he set a school record for the freshman mile in track, and UW-Milwaukee.

An avid sports fan, Art especially enjoyed motorsports, the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers, and participating in trivia and bingo. He beat many medical odds -- from suffering a brain injury in a terrible car accident when he was 22, to surviving more than a year with advanced lung cancer. Art recently celebrated his 70th birthday with family, friends, and many caretakers at Avalon.

Art is survived by his siblings, Kathy (Don) Miner, Sue (Dan) Rueckert, and twin brothers Pete (Angela) Dodd and Richard Dodd, plus nieces and nephews Jonathan (Maureen) Miner, Robin (Erica and their son Elijah) Miner, Nicole Rueckert, William Dodd, and Gina Dodd.
