Madison-Madison - Ana Toral-Azuela, age 64, passed away on Wednesday, October 15.
Ana was born on July 6, 1950 in Mexico City to loving parents Manuel and Julia Toral. She was the youngest of seven children and was thought of as an intelligent little girl with a strong will. Her entire life, Ana had a passion for helping others and as a young adult, volunteered on weekends in rural communities to provide medical care and clothing to those less fortunate. At the age of 33 she moved to Madison Wisconsin with her two children and through various occupations continued to follow her passion for helping others in the Madison community. Ana lived for her family and adored spending time with her grandchildren.
She leaves her son Eduardo Toral of Madison, and two grandchildren, Eddye and Elliot Toral-Wood; and daughter Maya (David) Toral Yuen of Chicago and granddaughter, Harper Yuen. She is survived by brothers Alfredo, Manuel and Ricardo Toral Azuela and sister Maria del Carmen Toral Azuela. She leaves many close friends behind whom she considered part of her family.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday, October 21 at Olbrich Botanical Gardens, 3330 Atwood Avenue Madison, WI. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gsafe (Gay Straight Alliance for Safe Schools) or visit www.gsafewi.org.
