Ana Maria Leon Idrovo

Lima, Perú/Madison, WI - Ana Maria León Idrovo "Anita", beloved woman, departed peacefully from us, at age 86, on November 19, 2012 at home while surrounded by her family.

Anita, was born on October 25, 1926 in Lima, Perú, the daughter of Juan León and Ana Zenobia Idrovo. She was married to Luis Castro Luna.
Anita was a very charismatic woman, always joyful and had a loving personality. She was always there when you needed her advice. She appreciated all kinds of music, specially the "Zarzuela". She also enjoyed cooking Peruvian dishes and hosting parties. In 2005, Anita moved to Madison to live with her family.

She is survived by her two children, Virginia Sanchez and Felix Castro; two daughter-in-laws, Maria Romero and Julia Toribio; thirteen grandchildren, Virginia (Jose) Cavero, Raul Vargas, Fernando (Isabel) Sanchez, Jose (Erika) Sanchez, Miguel Sanchez, Roberto (Suriana) Sanchez, Eduardo Sanchez, Luis Sanchez, Ivan Sanchez, Claudia (Kevin) Boyle, Fiorella Castro, Silvana Castro, and Ana Sanchez; twenty- one great-grandchildren, Sanchez family: Nikole, Gabriel, Aracelly, Christian, Cesar, Fiorella, Fernando, Suriana, Alejandro, Ana Fernanda, Gianella, Leonardo, Luciana, Julissa, Silvana, Ivan, Guiuliana, Andrea Descalzo, Valeria Vargas, Isabella and Emma Boyle; and one great-great-grandchild, Isaias Tecpoyolt.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two of her children, Eduardo and Fernando Sanchez, and her son-in-law Raul Vargas. Who may rest in peace.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, November 26, 2012 at 3:00 PM at the Informed Choice Chapel, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison. A visitation will also be held on Monday from 2:00 PM until the time of service.
