Kevin Collopy

Funeral Director

Kevin was born and grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, specifically Skokie. He graduated from Niles West Township High School in 1996. In high school Kevin made junior varsity basketball history by accidentally scoring a lay-up on the wrong basket. His coach immediately pulled him from the game, placed a towel over his head, but allowed him to cheer on his team’s eventual victory from the far end of the bench.

He went on to undergraduate studies at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. In 2000 he graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science. He has been licensed as a funeral director since 2002, and currently has over 10 years of experience helping families in their time of need.

Kevin resides on the eastside of Madison with his wife, Yvett W. Collopy, a fellow funeral director with the Cress Team, and Angie, their Yorkie/Shih Tzu mix. Yvett and Kevin were married in a simple backyard ceremony, surrounded by friends and loved ones, September 8, 2012. They welcomed their first child, a son, Cullen Mason, on May 9, 2014.

Darrin Kolka

Advance Planning Specialist

“I was born and raised in Wild Rose, WI. I then moved to the Fox Valley area to attend Fox Valley Technical College and received my Associate’s Degree in Marketing in 1997. After marrying my wife Melissa in 2000, we moved to Sun Prairie in 2001 and have been living in the Madison area ever since. I enjoy bicycling and volleyball in the summer months and snowboarding in the winter months. I am also the head coach for Middleton High School boys and girls snowboard teams.

I am happy to be working for the best company in all of Dane County. I love helping families plan for the future and teaching them how advance planning is the right move for everyone to make. I look forward to working with you and your family.”
